Geeza was a Australian band from the late 1970s. Based in Sydney they only released one album entitled "Streetlife". I recall seeing their promo clip for 'Run'n'hide' on Countdown and there was something about the humour of the clip and the groovy rhythm of the song that prompted me to go out and spend my lawn mowing money on their vinyl LP (wish I had have bought the tape now too). Anyway, to this day their album has just kicked arse in my world...I love it! I recently transferred it to CD using Magix Audiolab and it came up a treat. Especially after I added a bit of this and that to beef up the sound and eliminate the vinyl crackles etc - not that there were many coz I always used to transfer my LPs to cassette and only listened to the vinyl direct if I was completely sober and not likely to scratch it : )

Here's the tracklist:

Side One

1. SYDNEY CITY LADIES
2. YOU CAN'T DO THAT
3. SONG FOR WARILLA
4. STREET FIGHTER

Side Two

1. DRAGON QUEEN
2. RUN'N'HIDE
3. TOO MUCH GOIN' ON HERE
4. THE JEAN GENIE

Gabriel Vendetti / guitar

What can a simple punter like me say? Thanks fellas for a real little gem although I would
call it more of a diamond seeing as Artcarved Diamond Engagement Rings are credited on
the album for their confidence and support!
